Commissions
How do I commission a portrait?+
Fill in the commission form on our Commission page. You can send a free enquiry first and Dishani will reply with a final quote, or book and pay directly. Either works.
How long does a commission take?+
It depends on the size, medium, and complexity. A typical A4 colour pencil portrait takes 3–5 weeks. Larger pieces or complex compositions may take 6–10 weeks. Dishani will give you a personal timeline when she responds to your enquiry.
Can I provide reference photos?+
Yes, and it's encouraged! You can describe your reference images in the commission form. Dishani will ask you to email them directly after the initial contact.
Do you do pet portraits?+
Absolutely. Pets are some of the most beloved subjects. Colour pencil and graphite work particularly beautifully for animal fur and texture.
What information do I need to provide?+
Name, email, type of commission (portrait, pet, landscape, etc.), preferred medium, preferred size, budget range, and a description of what you have in mind. Reference photos are a huge help.
Shipping
Do you ship internationally?+
Yes. Dishani ships original artwork and fine art prints worldwide from Thissamaharama, Sri Lanka. Shipping costs and times vary by destination.
How long does shipping take?+
Within Sri Lanka: 3–5 days. South/Southeast Asia: 7–14 days. Europe, UK, USA, Australia: 14–21 days. These are estimates and customs can add time.
Are customs and import duties included?+
No. Any customs fees, import duties, or taxes charged by your country are the customer's responsibility. Check your country's import rules for artwork before ordering.
How do you package the artwork?+
Original artwork is carefully wrapped in glassine paper, mounted on a rigid board, and shipped in a sturdy box. Prints are rolled in archival tubes or shipped flat between boards depending on size.
Digital Downloads
What do I get with a digital download?+
You receive a high-resolution JPEG and PDF file suitable for printing at home or at a professional print shop. The files are delivered instantly via a secure download link sent to your email.
How long is the download link valid?+
48 hours from purchase. If it expires, visit /my-orders with your purchase email to access it again, or contact us and we'll resend it.
Can I sell or share the digital file?+
No. Digital downloads are for personal use only. You may print it for yourself, frame it, and display it at home. You may not resell, redistribute, or use it commercially. Dishani retains full copyright.
What size can I print a digital download?+
Most files are 300dpi and suitable for printing up to A3 (29.7 × 42 cm). The exact resolution is listed on each artwork's page.
Payments
What payment methods do you accept?+
All major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Payments are processed securely and your card details are never stored on our servers.
Can I pay in LKR or USD?+
Yes! Each artwork page lets you toggle between LKR and USD. Stripe processes whichever you select.
Is my payment secure?+
Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
Do you offer refunds?+
Digital downloads are non-refundable (instant delivery). Prints and originals that arrive damaged can be replaced — contact us within 7 days. See our full Refund Policy for details.
